Crying so hard at 60 minutes; a story about a man and wife who have to struggle everyday with the woman’s chronic dementia. *blubbering like a baby* its not fair.
One year ago today my family lost one of its brightest members. My Grandfather, Glenn ‘Biro’ Crozier, finally lost his battle to cancer; fighting a vicious brain tumour for more than 17 years, passing on the 10th of September, 2011. Pa was a gentle giant, the perfect example to remember to not judge a book by its’ cover. They say that people have a special way of leaving their mark on you, and not only did Pa leave a mark in all our hearts he left a mark deep in the skin of his clients; devoting his life to his beloved tattoo shop, Forever Art Tattoo Studio. A talented man was taken from our family too soon, called (we believe) to tattoo the greats up in heaven. As a personal tribute to him in his final fight against the cancer I undertook a challenge to make my grandfather something beautiful before he died; I vowed to make him 1000 paper cranes and give him one last wish. About 900 cranes in, Pa passed on peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife, Christine, my amazing Grandmother. Committed to finishing my tribute I finished the last 100 or so in one sitting, leaving the last wish to my Grandmother. I just want to take this moment to mourn my Pa, I miss him every day, left with 1000 little paper birds of hope to remember him by. And to my Nan, you are the strongest, most amazing woman I know, my hero, my idol.

A little something I was thinking.
I’m usually really morbid about things. I predict the end a lot. I see the flaws and I wait for them to be the undoing.
But with you its different.
You have no flaws. You make me smile effortlessly. You do all the stupid little things with me that no-one else has ever done for me before. You sweep me off my feet daily and show me I have everything to look forward to. You have an amazing heart and an even better soul. You challenge me to be a better person.
I love you more than anything else. You are my everything.

So one of my good friends is holding a Tim Burton themed movie night, and during the course of said movie night we will unleash Tim Burton magic onto our faces. I’m so pumped I’ve started sketching some makeup mock ups :P this is one of my favourites. I’ll walk you through it:
